June 8, Fineko/abc.az. In May 2026, 33% of the electricity generated in Azerbaijan was from renewable energy sources.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the Ministry of Energy, produced 2.83 billion kWh of electricity last month, of which 689 million kWh were provided by renewable sources.

During the month, the demand for electricity in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was fully met through renewable energy sources.
