May 25, Fineko/abc.az. According to Central Bank’s latest statistics for April 2026, 69.8% of individual deposits (12.58 bn manats) are placed in national currency, and 30.2% (5 billion 213.8 million manats) are in foreign currency.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the CBA, 63.6% (10.979 bn manats) in the portfolio structure are term deposits. In April, population’s term deposits grew by 2.1% (or 221.9 million manats) and demand deposits by 7.9% (or 462 million manats).

Also in April 2026, the number of unique term depositors in the banking sector increased by 1% (2,163 depositors), and since the beginning of the year - by 8% (15,498 depositors), reaching 209,600 people.
