March 31, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, there was an increase in money transfer transactions between Azerbaijan and the Persian Gulf countries - the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.

In general, the volume of money transfers to individuals from the Persian Gulf region in Azerbaijan increased by 28.4% compared with $67.93 million in 2024, up to $87.23 million, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

The highest growth on separate countries was recorded in the UAE. Cash flows from this country increased by 33%, growing from $31.68 million up to $42.13 million year-on-year.

Receipts from Saudi Arabia increased by 27.7% from $20.54 million up to $26.23 million, while transfers from Qatar grew by 25.5% from $12.51 million up to $15.71 million. Receipts from Kuwait decreased from $3.2 million to $3.17 million (a drop of 0.9%), remaining almost stable.

At the same time, there was an increase on money sent from Azerbaijan to the Persian Gulf countries. Transfers to the UAE increased by 43.8%, up to $20.74 million in 2025, compared with $14.42 million in 2024.
