CBA: Money transfers to Azerbaijan grew by 8.7% up to $1.2 bn

March 17, Fineko/abc.az. The overall volume of repeat revenue transactions with foreign countries is estimated at $2.1 billion. Receipts amounted to $1.4 billion and payments — $700 million.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that 83.5% of overall revenues was made up of money transfers from individuals from abroad, 11.1% - the volume of humanitarian goods and other assistance, 5.4% - other income.

"The volume of money transfers to the country increased by 8.7% and reached $1.2 billion, while the volume of transfers from the country decreased by 4.1% to $500 million. As a result, positive balance of $700 million was formed in money transfers (a rise of 20.8%)," the CBA says.
