November 26, Fineko/abc.az. BP plans to improve the accuracy of 4D seismic data at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) field through updated processing methods and more efficient data collection schemes.

ABC.AZ informs that BP chief geophysicist Timur Ibrahimzade said this at the SPE 2025 Caspian Technical Conference in Baku.

He added that drilling of more than 10 wells annually at ACG creates a large amount of dynamic information and increases the need for more accurate monitoring of underground changes.

BP's chief geophysicist noted that even the annual interval between monitoring images makes it possible to identify changes related to the degree of reservoir saturation and pressure, as well as important risk management factors.
