October 29, Fineko/abc.az. Today, the World Bank has presented its first periodic Country Economic Review for Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that the report contains detailed information about the country's macroeconomic indicators and prospects.

The report says that the Country Economic Review for Azerbaijan is a report to be published twice a year and covers the latest economic developments and prospects in the country.

Each report will consist of two parts: the first part will examine the analysis of recent economic trends and medium–term prospects and risks, and the second part will examine in detail the issue of specific policy. Azerbaijan has demonstrated significant resilience to global and regional shocks over the past decade.

The adoption of the Competition Code, significant tax reforms, simplification of procedures for obtaining licenses and permits, transparency of labor relations and other steps aimed at addressing challenges in the business environment have played an important role in supporting entrepreneurial activity.
