Georgia bought oil products for $66 million from Azerbaijan

October 27, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia imported 1.3 million tons of petroleum products for $972 million for Jan-Sept 2025. And of them, 95,200 tons ($66 million) were purchased from Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to Georgian National Statistics Office, that the value of all imports decreased by 1% versus Jan-Sept 2024, while the volume grew by 10%. The main reason for the increase was a significant drop in fuel prices at the global market in the 1st half of the year.

Russia is also the main supplier country for Georgia this year. 554,600 tons of fuel for $387 million were imported from this country. The cost of fuel imported from Russia declined by 3.4% versus 2024.

Romania is in 2nd place. Georgia has purchased 242,400 tons of fuel from this country for $183 million (68% more). Imports from Bulgaria grew by 13% and from Turkey by 27%.

And the volume of fuel imported from Azerbaijan declined by 13%.
