October 23, Fineko/abc.az. As of October 1, 2025, the assets of the Azerbaijan State Oil Fund (SOFAZ) amounted to $70.16 bn (16.9% more than on January 1).

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Fund that for Jan-Sept 2025 the SOFAZ budget revenues totaled 13.73 bn manats and budget expenditures - 10.917 bn manats.

In 9 months, the Fund earned 7.837 bn manats from implementation of oil and gas agreements, including profits from the sale of oil and gas reached 7.068 bn manats, from bonus payments and transit - 765.3 million manats, from ACR accounts - 3.6 million manats. The SOFAZ received 6.183 bn manats from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field and 697 million manats from Shah Deniz field. The income from the management of SOFAZ finances totaled 5.235 bn manats.

SOFAZ transferred 10.86 bn manats to the State Budget (for past 9 months, finances in the amount of $4.35 bn were sold at auctions with the participation of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan), 8.2 million manats to finance the "State Program to increase the international competitiveness of the higher education system for 2019-2023", and  26.1 million manats to finance the "State Program for youth education in prestigious higher educational institutions of foreign countries for 2022-2028», and 22.9 million manats for management.
