October 22, Fineko/abc.az. If demand in the foreign exchange market continues to be lower than supply, the Central Bank will conduct purchasing intervention.
ABC.AZ informs that CBA governor Taleh Kazimov made this statement at a press conference on the parameters of the interest rate corridor.
Speaking about this matter, Kazimov noted that it is wrong to name any specific amount. Following the results of nine months, the supply on the foreign exchange market remains quite high.
"In such a situation, we will probably conduct purchasing intervention. But it would be wrong to name a specific amount - $600 million, $300 million or $900 million, since there are still budget expenditures that need to be taken into account by the end of the year," he underlined.
