October 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has exported premium gasoline with an octane rating of 95 for the first time.

ABC.AZ informs that for Jan-Aug 2025, 4,196 tons of premium gasoline were sold to Georgia.

The total value of exports reached $2.78 million, while the average price of exported gasoline - $662 per ton.

For many years, Azerbaijan has been meeting domestic demand for premium gasoline through imports.

Currently, the import process continues as before, since the production of this brand of gasoline in the country is limited.

According to the State Statistics Committee, 8,800 tons of premium gasoline were produced in the country in April-June 2025.

For Jan-Aug 2025, our country imported 83,458 tons of premium gasoline for $70.455 million from abroad.

Currently, Azerbaijan mainly produces gasoline AI-92. However, since the production capacities of domestic refineries do not fully meet demand, Azerbaijan imported 83,000 tons of AI-92 in the first 8 months of 2025, including 14,500 tons from Belarus and 64,800 tons from Russia.
