In near future, foundation of 2 solar power plants to be laid in Jabrayil

October 20, Fineko/abc.az. In the near future, it is planned to lay the foundation of solar power plants Shams and Ufug with capacity of 50 MW each in Jabrayil.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in an article published in the official newspaper by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, in connection with the Day of the Power Engineer.

In the next two years, Azerbaijan plans to successfully complete the first stage of the development of "green energy" - the construction of 10 solar and wind power plants: "As part of this plan, the 240 MW Khizi-Absheron wind farm will be fully operational by the end of the year. 35 out of 37 turbines (with capacity of 227.5 MW) have already been installed at the Absheron and Khizi sections of the station, and the installation of the remaining 2 turbines will be completed during October. One of the two 220/33 kV substations has already been built and is fully operational, while the construction of the other substation will be completed next month."
