Bloomberg: U.S. gold reserves reach a record of $1 trillion

September 30, Fineko/abc.az. The gold reserves of the U.S. Treasury exceeded the mark of $1 trillion for the first time, according to current market estimates.

ABC.AZ informs that according to Bloomberg, in the official statements of the Ministry of Finance, the value of gold is estimated at $11 billion, based on the established price of $42.22 per troy ounce. In total, approx. 261.5 million ounces of gold are stored in the U.S., with more than half of the reserves located in the Fort Knox, Kentucky, storage facility.
