September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2025, Azerbaijan's solar power plants generated 407.9 million kWh of electricity.

ABC.AZ informs that the figure is 13% more than in the first 8 months of last year.

Azerbaijan produced 18.32 bn kWh of electricity (1.5% more versus Jan-Aug 2024). Of them, 17.708 bn kWh of commercial electricity was produced (1.4% more than year-on-year).

Of them, 2.257 bn kWh accounted for hydroelectric power plants (a rise of 6.6% over the year), 15.009 bn kWh for thermal power plants (+0.4%), 146.7 million kWh for electricity generation from waste incineration (-1.4%).

During the reported term, 33.4 million kWh of electricity was produced at wind farms (13.5% less against Jan-Aug 2024).
