September 16, Fineko/abc.az. The government of Azerbaijan predicts that in 2026 the annual inflation in the country will be 4.8%.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the document of the Ministry of Finance "On preliminary indicators of the state and consolidated budgets of Azerbaijan for 2026".

The forecast was prepared by the Ministry of Economy, taking into account the actual inflation rate over the past period of this year, the relative decline in world prices for goods, including food, and their impact on import prices, the dynamics of the nominal effective exchange rate index and assumptions about exchange rate stability, as well as the impact of changes in regulated tariffs on goods and services. The Ministry expects annual inflation in the country to reach 5.4% in 2025.

According to the State Statistics Committee, for Jan-Aug of this year, consumer prices increased by 5.6% compared to the same period in 2024, in August - by 4.9% compared to the same month last year and by 0.4% compared to July of this year.
