IAEA chief: Talks with Iran on nuclear facilities making progress, time running out

September 8, Fineko/abc.az. Negotiations between the UN and Iran on the resumption of full-scale inspections of nuclear facilities are showing progress, but time is running out, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said, according to Report.

Speaking at a meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors, consisting of 35 countries, on Monday, Grossi expressed optimism about reaching an agreement soon.

“Progress has been made. I sincerely hope that these negotiations can be successfully concluded in the coming days,” Grossi told the board.

The IAEA chief emphasized the urgency of the situation, adding: “There is still time, but not much.”
