September 3, Fineko/abc.az. Non-banking credit organization LLC FINCA Azerbaijan closed the first half of 2025 (January–June) with a net profit of 952,000 manats, compared to 882,000 manats in the same period last year.
ABC.AZ reports, that the company’s net profit increase of over 70,000 manats was supported by higher interest income and funds released from reserves. However, operating profit fell by half due to a sharp rise in interest expenses.
In the first six months, FINCA Azerbaijan’s interest income rose by 717,000 manats year-on-year to 10.35 million manats, while non-interest income jumped more than ninefold to 195,000 manats. Total operating income reached 10.54 million manats, but operating expenses climbed to 10.01 million manats, leaving operating profit at 535,000 manats. After 482,000 manats were released from special reserves, profit increased to 1.017 million manats. The company paid 60,000 manats in profit tax.
For comparison, in H1 2024, operating income stood at 9.65 million manats, expenses at 8.60 million manats, and operating profit at 1.06 million manats. With additional real estate sales gains, the company closed the period with 882,000 manats in net profit.
Rising expenses were the main drag on performance. Interest expenses grew by 1.1 million manats, or 48%, from 2.28 million in H1 2024 to 3.38 million manats in H1 2025. Overall, operating costs increased by 1.41 million manats, outpacing income growth of 890,000 manats.
Meanwhile, FINCA Azerbaijan’s loan portfolio expanded by 6.47 million manats (10%) in the first half of 2025, reaching 70.39 million manats as of June 30.
