CBA updates Azerbaijan's inflation forecasts

August 13, Fineko/abc.az. According to the July forecasts, annual inflation in 2025 and 2026 will remain within the target range (4±2%).

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Central Bank, that according to the July forecast, inflation in 2025 will be 5.7%.

The projected annual inflation for 2025 will be increased due to an increase in government consumption by 0.50 p.p., household consumption by 1.26 p.p., agricultural producer prices by 3.17 p.p. and inflation in the trading partner countries by 2.78 p.p. The contribution of the NEK reduction is expected to be -0.70 p.p. and contribution of other factors is -1.31 p.p. 

According to the July forecast, inflation in 2026 is expected to reach 5.3%.
"The annual inflation forecast for 2026 will be influenced by: government consumption – by 0.35 p.p., household consumption – by 1.28 p.p., social security measures – by 2.23 p.p., inflation in trading partner countries – by 1.92 p.p., other factors – by 1.80 p.p., and NEC – by 2.27 p.p. Realization of forecasts will depend on changes in a number of external and internal factors," the CBA emphasizes.
