CBA governor appoints adviser to himself

August 8, Fineko/abc.az. Central Bank of Azerbaijan’s governor Taleh Kazimov has appointed Bahruz Balayev as his advisor. Thus, the number of advisers to the CBA governor has reached five, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the CBA. 

Bahruz Balayev started his career in 2002 at Hyatt Hotels in Baku, in 2007-2012 he served as Director of Operations at Hilton Hotels in New York, in 2012-2013 Oxfam International Defender at the United Nations Security Council in New York, in 2014-2022 Director of Innovation and Heritage at the International Center for Sports In 2022-2023, he led the U.S. Sports Strategy in the Department of External Relations of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in New York.

On July 1, 2024, he joined the Central Bank as an adviser to the Department of the Chairman's Office.
