Compared with Jan-May 2024, the number of arrivals from the EU member states increased by 2.9% up to 39,000 people, from the Persian Gulf countries - decreased by 1.6% to 153,700 people, from the CIS countries – declined by 7.8% to 326,700 people, and from other countries – grew by 10.4 % up to 460,500 people.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Border Service, that 73.4% of foreigners and stateless persons arriving in our country traveled by air, 25.2% - by rail and road, and 1.4% - by sea. Compared with Jan-May 2024, the total number of citizens of Azerbaijan traveling abroad fell by 0.1% to 807,600 people. The number of citizens of Azerbaijan traveling to Iran increased by 27.3%, to Georgia - by 22.8%, and to Turkey – decreased by 6.2%, to the Russian Federation - by 25.3%.

36.5% of citizens of Azerbaijan visited Turkey, 16.4% - the Russian Federation, 11.0% - Georgia, 11.0% - Iran, 25.1% - other countries. Men made up 66.8%, women - 33.2%.

For Jan-May 2025, 67.8% of citizens of Azerbaijan visiting foreign countries traveled by air, 30.0% - by rail and road, and 2.2% - by sea.
