April 14, Fineko/abc.az. The Dubai International Airport is the busiest airport in the world in terms of international passenger traffic.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in a report published by the International Airports Council.

According to the report, the total number of passengers in 2024 was almost 9.5 billion, which is 9% more than in 2023 and 3.8% more than before the pandemic (2019).

The 10 busiest airports, making up 9% of global traffic (855 million passengers), witnessed an increase of 8.8% from 2023 and 8.4% (789 million passengers in 2019) compared with the results of 2019. It is estimated that the volume of air traffic in 2024 will exceed 124 million metric tons, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year (+3.9% against 2019).
