April 11, Fineko/abc.az. U.S.’ chief economist at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Michael Feroli, continues to expect a decline in country's GDP later this year, even after the authorities decided to suspend duties on over 75 countries for 90 days, ABC.AZ informs.

“The negative impact of foreign trade policy will probably decrease somewhat, and therefore the prospect of recession is moving away,” MarketWatch quotes him as saying. "However, we still believe that real activity [in the economy] will decrease later this year rather than not," Feroli stated.

On Wednesday evening, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 90-day suspension of mirror duties for countries that did not respond to previously announced tariff measures.
