March 7, Fineko/abc.az. Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), admitted that the anti-Iranian sanctions imposed by the West have proved useless and have no impact on Iran's nuclear program.

"Sanctions are not working. It is quite obvious that the country has learned to circumvent them," Grossi said.

ABC.AZ informs that according to Grossi, Tehran has managed to make significant progress in the development of its nuclear program, "especially since 2018". That year, the U.S. withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

On February 20, Grossi called for development of a new format of agreement to conclude a deal with Iran on its nuclear program, as the JCPOA is very outdated.
