February 28, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Central Bank's updated forecasts in January, the annual inflation rate in the country in 2025-2026 is expected to remain in target range of 2-6%.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the review of CBA monetary policy for 2024.

The Central Bank's inflation forecast for 2025 is 5.5%. According to this forecast, regulated prices, government consumption, household consumption and other factors will have an increasing impact on inflation. On the other hand, the nominal effective exchange rate (NEC) is expected to have downward effect.

The NEC shows weighted average exchange rate of the national currency in relation to the currencies of country's trading partners. A strong NEC can reduce inflation by lowering the cost of imports.
