September 30, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, at the end of August 2026, the number of individual entrepreneur clients in the banking system reached 1.146 million and the number of their current bank accounts - 1.657 million.

The number of business clients increased by 11.2% compared to the end of 2025, by 18.9% compared to August 2025, and the number of their current accounts by 26.7% year-on-year.

Despite growth in the number of clients and accounts, deposits held by entrepreneurs in banks declined by 10.7% (47.9 million manats) in the first 8 months of the year, and only by 6.8% (29.1 million manats) compared to July, decreasing from 448.9 million manats to 401 million manats.

At the end of August, 375.2 million manats of those money were in the national currency and 25.8 million manats in foreign currency.

During the month, the money held in foreign currency dropped by 66.4%, while funds in manats grew by 6.2%.
