September 29, Fineko/abc.az. According to the agreement signed between the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund (ABIF) under the Ministry of Economy, Flex Middle East FZE and the Azerbaijani-Uzbek Investment Company, a new packaging production facility will be established in the Alat Free Economic Zone with participation of Indian company UFlex Limited.

A land plot of 4.7 hectares was allotted for the project with total cost of $117.7 million in the AFEZ , and Flex Films AZB AFEZCO was established. This modern enterprise with annual production capacity of 60,000 tons will serve to development of the non-oil/gas sector in Azerbaijan, attract foreign investments and expand the export-oriented packaging industry.

UFlex Limited, which exports its products to more than 150 countries, has been operating since 1985 and owns manufacturing plants in 9 countries.
