February 25, Fineko/abc.az. As of February 1, 2025, the total assets of the Azerbaijani banking sector are estimated at 53.09 billion manats.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that compared with the data as of February 1, 2024, the assets of banks grew by 7.7%.

As of February 1, 2025, banks' loan portfolio increased by 23.9% against February 1, 2024, to 27.514 billion manats. The share of loans in the asset structure grew from 45% to 51.8%.

Banking sector's liabilities increased by 7.55% up to 46.4 billion manats, including the deposit portfolio grew by 5.7% up to 36.96 billion manats.

Deposits of individuals increased by 12.1% up to 14.385 billion manats, while those of legal entities by 1.9% up to 22.575 billion manats.

The balance sheet capital of the banks is 6.688 billion manats (a rise of 8.7% versus figure as of February 1, 2024).
