February 6, Fineko/abc.az. About 10 new enterprises will start operating in the industrial zones managed by the Economic Zones Development Agency this year, ABC.AZ reports, quoting agency’s chairman of board Seymur Adigezalov.

He added that the new enterprises will produce innovative construction materials, tobacco products, trucks and other products. It is expected that up to 1,000 permanent jobs will be created.

Adigezalov also recalled that according to the presidential decree of June 12, 2024, the Hajigabuli Industrial Park was established on the basis of the Hajigabuli Industrial Quarter, which has already registered 8 residents and 2 non-residents.

In 2024, the share of industrial zones in the production of non–oil products made up 17.6% and in exports - 26%.
