 November 21, Fineko/abc.az. "Uzbekistan has introduced a permit system together with Türkiye for the first time in the world. We have done this with Kazakhstan as well. We plan to implement it with Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in the near future,"

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Uzbek Deputy Transport Minister Manarbek Omarov during his speech at COP-29.

"Currently, work is actively underway on the construction of railway line China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan, as well as Trans-Afghan corridor. I think all these routes will create additional volume for the Middle Corridor and provide an opportunity to diversify it. Work continues on the further development of the corridor and increasing transit potential, the introduction of modern methods to simplify border crossing," the deputy minister said.
