November 20, Fineko/abc.az. 75% of journalists' income will be exempt from income tax without applying any conditions.
ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the new Article 102.1.30-1, proposed for inclusion in the Tax Code.
According to the draft, 75% of the income of individuals engaged in journalistic activities and having income (excluding expenses) from this type of activity for a calendar year in the amount of up to 45,000 manats will be exempt from income tax.
According to the wording of Article 102.1.30 of the Tax Code effective from 01.01.2024, 75% of the income of individual entrepreneurs who are subjects of microenterprise with an average monthly number of employees of at least 3 people and who do not have arrears in contributions to compulsory state social insurance are exempt from income tax.
There are a number of individuals engaged in individual professional activities who cannot be taxpayers of the STS, as they provide services not to the public, but to other taxpayers.
Since these persons act individually, they also cannot take advantage of the benefits provided for in Article 102.1.30 of the Tax Code.
Therefore, in order to ensure the application of fair taxation in relation to individuals-microenterprises with annual turnover of entrepreneurs operating in some areas of services up to 45,000 manats, it is proposed to amend the Tax Code regarding the exemption from income tax of 75% of income received by these persons, without applying any conditions (3 employees and the requirement that there is no debt on contributions to compulsory state social insurance).
