Japan's economy increased by 0.2% for Q3

 November 15, Fineko/abc.az. Japan's economy expanded by 0.2% in the third quarter compared with the previous three months, according to government’s preliminary data.

ABC.AZ reports that the data coincided with the consensus forecast of analysts prepared by Trading Economics.

According to the revised data, GDP grew by 0.5% in the 2nd quarter of 2024, whereas it was previously reported to grow by 0.7%.

Consumer spending rose 0.9% in July-September after rising 0.7% a quarter earlier. The growth exceeded analysts' expectations, which predicted a 0.2% rise.

Business investments decreased by 0.2%, government spending increased by 0.5%.

Exports grew by 0.4% and imports by 2.1%.
