October 14, Fineko/abc.az. Armenian Security Council’s Secretary Armen Grigoryan has called on the population to switch to rice instead of wheat in order to avoid a shortage of strategic goods, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Armenian media.

Grigoryan argued his proposal by saying that Armenia needs to improve the quality of its food security, adapt to the "new reality" and stop depending on a single strategic commodity.

"Wheat can be a strategic commodity, but at some point we can switch to rice and change our fitness, have rice as a strategic commodity," Grigoryan said.
