January 16, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku City Master Plan implies the introduction of a new urban concept to provide residents with transportation to their place of work, study and other locations in 15-20 minutes.

ABC.AZ reports that Anar Guliyev, the chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning & Architecture, made the relevant statement at the presentation ceremony of the Baku City Master Plan.

He noted that the concept of a "15-minute city" is gaining more and more popularity in the world. To implement this concept, it is necessary to create high-quality infrastructure throughout the city, Guliyev emphasized.

He added that mobility issues are given a large place in the Master Plan: "The Master Plan covers the solution of transport issues, the development of the street and road network, the construction of new roads, as well as the development of public transport. The maximum speed of cars will be reduced on many central streets of Baku."
