December 11, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani state commercial insurance company Azersigorta has not been carrying out commissions for several months, which must be paid to insurance agents.
ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Vusal Badalov, the founder of the Union of Insurance Agents of Azerbaijan. He said that Azersigorta has not paid commissions in the amount of up to 700,000 manats over the past two months, which should be paid to 150 insurance agents.
Badalov noted that there was an appeal on the occasion to the chairman of board of the insurance company Farhad Adigezalov and chairman of the audit commission Alesker Aliyev. It was stated verbally that payments would be made before December 15. At that, Badalov said that the possibility that the company would voluntarily go into liquidation would also cast doubt on the fate of their payments: "They do not make payments to insurance agents, but explain this themselves by allegedly having to get a response from the Ministry of Finance, approval, and only after that payment will be made. It is unclear whether the Ministry will make a decision before or after the liquidation process. This calls into question our payments."
It should be noted that on December 7, Azerbaijani Investment Holding’s chairman of board Metin Einullayev said that no decision has yet been made on the activities of Azersigorta, the inspections of which are ongoing.
