November 3, Fineko/abc.az. At tobacco processing plant Azertutun, located in Zagatala district, the process of dry tobacco has begun since the end of October.

ABC.AZ reports that the product is mainly exported to Italian companies.

Zagatala Tobacco Plant is a processing enterprise built on the basis of the most modern technologies and has no analogues not only in the South Caucasus, but also in the CIS as a whole. The plant has the latest technological equipment manufactured in the USA, Italy and Germany.

According to the investment program of Tabaterra Leaf CJSC, the winner of the investment competition for privatization of Azertutun OJSC, the production equipment at the enterprise has been overhauled, new equipment has been installed, repair and construction work has been carried out at tobacco reception and processing points, transport and equipment have been purchased. The reconstruction of the enterprise allowed to improve the quality of tobacco products and expand export opportunities.
