Did carriages of imported goods by rail increase or decrease?

October 16, Fineko/abc.az. Transportation of imported goods by ADY Express LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, amounted to 919,564 tons for Jan-Sept 2023 (30.53% more than a year earlier).

ABC.AZ was informed at ADY Express that the figure was 704,660 tons for Jan-Sept 2022.

"Sugar, boards and wood products, gasoline and technical oils predominate among the imported goods," the company says.
As for transportation of export cargo, in the first 9 months of 2023 ADY Express carried 623,199 tons of cargo versus 495,509 tons for Jan-Sept 2022, which means an increase of 25.79%. Clinker, gas oil, clay and construction materials predominate among the export-oriented cargo transported by the company.
