August 30, Fineko/abc.az. In 2022, the level of self-sufficiency in all types of flour in Azerbaijan amounted to 93.3% (95% in 2021).
ABC.AZ reports with reference to Interfax-Azerbaijan that, according to the State Statistics Committee, out of the total reserves in 2022, 146,999 tons of wheat were directed to seeds, 765,451 tons to feed for livestock and poultry, 1,869,150 tons. to the production of food products, including 1,820,746 tons of flour and cereals.
Last year, 159,813 tons of wheat were directed to the production of non-food products, 32,191 tons to the personal consumer fund of the population, the rest for other purposes (including losses). Wheat stocks at the beginning of 2023 are estimated at 281,259 tons.
