September 8, Fineko/abc.az. The WB is working on a new program with Azerbaijan in the field of agriculture, said WB Country Manager for Azerbaijan, Stephanie Stallmeister, on the second day of the Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW 2026).

She pointed out that in the areas identified as priorities in this direction, attention should be paid to food security: "Since Azerbaijan is a regional leader in this area, it has the opportunity to move further and become a major exporter, while export markets pay attention to food security and other issues. It follows that this is one of the important issues that we are working on together with the government to implement programs that will make progress in this direction. We are very excited about the potential of this new program, which we hope will be refined over the next 6-12 months. We see that the Azerbaijani government has been an incredible partner in recent years, making numerous decisions that have secured it a place at the forefront of this sector in this region. We look forward to pushing this agenda forward."
