August 28, Fineko/abc.az. A total of 8,514,806 foreign tourists visited Istanbul during 7 months of 2022.

During the same period of this year, the number of tourists increased by 15% and amounted to 9,776,635 people, ABC.AZ reports, citing the Istanbul Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.

The city, which was visited by 1,759,506 foreign tourists in July last year, received 1,873,097 foreign tourists in July this year.  The number of foreign tourists increased by almost 6% in July, compared with the corresponding month last year.

It should be noted that 1,666,319 tourists visited Istanbul in July 2019, 301,930 in July 2020, and 1,130,999 in July 2021.
