August 28, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is in the top 5 in terms of popularity among the CIS countries among Russian tourists in 2023, the Russian Union of Tourism Industry said with reference to the data of tour operators.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Interfax-Azerbaijan that Azerbaijan is in the top five in terms of requests, as there are a lot of transportation and affordable prices.

The tour operator Alean puts Azerbaijan in second place in terms of demand among the CIS countries.

"Azerbaijan is in second place, as well as sanatoriums, first of all, the Naftalan resort, since there is the largest number of accommodation facilities. City tours and beach holidays are in demand, but they often do not go on their own, but in combination with excursion programs in Azerbaijan," notes commercial director of the tour operator Oksana Bulakh.
