August 23, Fineko/abc.az. In January-July 2023, the total number of Azerbaijani citizens who traveled abroad amounted to 993,500 people.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that this is 19.8% more than in the same period of 2022.

At the same time, the number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to Russia increased 1.6 times, to Georgia - 32.5%, to Türkiye - 6.4% and the number of those traveling to Iran dropped 24.7%.

In general, 42.5% of Azerbaijani citizens traveled to Türkiye, 22.7% to Russia, 9.2% to Georgia, 779% to Iran and 17.9% to other countries.

Men accounted for 66.5% of those leaving, and women made 33.5%.

During the reporting period, 68% of Azerbaijani citizens visiting foreign countries used air transport, 29.3% used rail and autonomile road, and 2.7% used sea.
