A total of 29,516 insurance contracts were documented within the framework of the Green Card system for six months of 2023, 

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Compulsory Insurance Bureau that this is 2.4 times more than in the same period in 2022.

During the reporting period, the volume of insurance payments collected within this system rose 5.8 times compared year-on-year, reaching AZN 7,000,338,196.

Since 2016, the Compulsory Insurance Bureau has been performing the functions of the national green card bureau, which is part of the Council of International Bureaus. The bureau represents Azerbaijan in the international system of green cards, acting as a coordinating, specialized organization in the Green Card system.
