May 16, Fineko/abc.az. Transactions in the amount of $7.8 bn were carried out on the foreign exchange market of Azerbaijan for the 1st quarter of 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that the figure is about 9% less versus Q1 of 2022.

Of the quarterly transactions, $6.8 bn were made in non-cash, and $1 bn in the cash foreign exchange market (about 8% and 20% less than a year ago, respectively).

During the year, country’s net sales of foreign currency decreased 6-fold.
