April 17, Fineko/abc.az. Resident commercial legal entities operating in the non-oil and non-state sectors will be able to invest in the notes of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the CBA that in order to create conditions for the formation of a yield curve for various terms (1/3/6/9 months) by increasing competition at note auctions, supporting short-term activity in the money market, the base of investors on notes was expanded, changes were made to the conditions for the placement of notes.

According to the decision, along with banks, resident commercial legal entities operating in the non-oil and non-state sectors (with the exception of legal entities engaged in financial and insurance activities) will receive the right to own notes, with the application of certain restrictions. Restrictions are introduced in order to avoid sudden changes in the liquidity position of banks and various segments of the securities market. The expansion of the amount of short-term notes will have a positive impact on the activity in the securities market by increasing the number of investors.
