April 14, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly nominal wage of employees in the Azerbaijani economy increased by 11.2% for Jan-Feb 2023 up to 855 manats compared with Jan-Feb 2022.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the average monthly nominal salary was higher in the field of mining, financial and insurance activities, information and communications, as well as professional, scientific and technical activities.

As of 1 March 2023, the number of employees in the country's economy increased by 33,700 people or 2% against Jan-Feb 2022 up to 1.715 million people. Of them, 901,000 people are employed in the public sector and 814,800 people in the private sector of the economy.
