April 7, Fineko/abc.az. The upcoming visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Kazakhstan will open a new stage in relations between the fraternal countries.

ABC.AZ reports that Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said this today at the 19th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade & Economic Cooperation in Baku.

"We are united by deep-rooted close fraternal relations. Thanks to the political will of our countries’ presidents, relationships between the countries are developing successfully. During the visit of the Kazakhstan’s leader to Azerbaijan last August, an agreement was signed on strengthening political cooperation between the two countries," Shahbazov emphasized.

The minister added that trade links are an important component of Azerbaijan- Kazakhstan relations: "Last year, our countries’ trade turnover grew 4-fold against 2021 to $598 million. Today, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are the initiators of many regional and international projects."
