Azerbaijan has risen by 20 positions in this index

March 15, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has risen by 20 positions in the Global Soft Power Index, compiled annually by consulting company Brand Finance.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijan has risen from 77th to 57th place compared to last year's index.

According to this indicator, Azerbaijan, along with Georgia, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh and the UAE, is among the Top 5 countries that have made the most progress in the index compared to 2022.

The Top 10 places in this year's index were taken by the U.S., Great Britain, Germany, Japan, China, France, Canada, Switzerland, Italy and the UAE. Of the countries in the region, Russia ranks 13th, Turkiye - 23rd, Ukraine -37th, Georgia - 49th, Iran - 77th, Kazakhstan - 79th, Turkmenistan - 88th. Armenia is not included in the index, which includes 121 countries of the world.

The Global Soft Power Index is based on the indicators of states by categories of business and trade, governance, international relations, culture and heritage, press and communications, education and science, people and values and a sustainable future in order to identify the indicators of states by indicators of Familiarity, Influence and Reputation.

Azerbaijan, which was included in the Global Soft Power Index for the first time in 2021, took 72nd place that year, and 77th place in 2022.
