July 14, Fineko/abc.az. A document signed these days between Iran and Azerbaijan will accelerate the joint construction of hydraulic projects, and the Khudaferin and Giz Galasi hydroelectric power stations, ABC.AZ reports, citing Iranian Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian as saying this in Baku. 

He added that work on the construction of dams on the Araz River over the Khudaferin and Giz Galasi stations will be accelerated. 

Mehrabian points out that one of the important issues of Iranian-Azerbaijani relationships is joint investment in the Araz border river for water resources management and generation of electricity at hydroelectric power plants.
