MP about sharp strengthening of US dollar

Vugar Bayramov: Euro has lost 18% of its value this year

"But if we take into account the level of global inflation, a cheap euro also means less expensive European products in dollar terms. After the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the manat has also been strengthening against the euro. If on February 24 of this year 1 euro was 1.9115 manats, now the exchange rate has changed to 1.7060. This means the strengthening of the manat against the euro by 12% over the past 5 months. The exchange rate of the manat to the euro is set not directly, but crosswise, and as the euro loses value against the dollar, Azerbaijani money strengthens against the European currency."
