June 30, Fineko/abc.az. The rector of the National Defense University of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has been appointed.

ABC.AZ reports that an order has been signed in this regard.

Under the order, Prof., Lt-Gen Heydar Piriyev headed the university.

Prior to this appointment, he held the position of acting rector of the National Defense University.

Previously, he was the head of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.
