June 10, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2022, the turnover of mutual tourism services increased by 2.9 times up to $318 million.

ABC.AZ reports that this is informed in the balance of payments for Q1 of 2022.

As a result of the excess of imports ($196.8 million) over exports ($121.3 million) for tourism services, deficit of $75.5 million was formed.

The number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad grew 2.7-fold, and the number of foreign citizens arriving in Azerbaijan 2.1-fold.

The volume of services rendered by foreign countries to residents of Azerbaijan in connection with tourism amounted to $196.8 million. 82.9% of them related to personal visits of Azerbaijani citizens.
